Torn CCL? TPLO surgery is done right here in Manhattan with Dr. Lucas Moeder, without a months-long referral wait.
My babies (dogs) are the hesitant types when it comes to vet visits. Everyone was kind and gentle with them. The office was able to get one in to check his ear irritation and get him on the mend quickly. Thank you! I will speak highly of your office!

Your pet is not just a pet. They are a cherished member of your family, and we treat them with the love and respect they deserve.
We work to make every visit stress-free, so your pet feels safe and comfortable throughout their appointment. Our team brings decades of experience and a commitment to ongoing education, and we are here for you and your pet at every stage of life.

Once a quarter we keep a whole morning for cats. The building is dog-free, soft jazz plays, appointments are limited so the lobby stays calm, and every kitty goes home with a Purr Pop.
Spots are limited and cannot be booked online, so call or text to save your cat’s place.

No driving hours away or waiting months for a referral. Dr. Lucas Moeder of Moeder Orthopedic Consulting performs TPLO here at Candlewood for dogs with a torn cranial cruciate ligament, for families across Central Kansas. Pricing is a clear, custom package based on your dog’s weight.
A complete orthopedic exam and digital radiographs of the knee, and a plan you feel comfortable with.
Dr. Moeder performs the TPLO at Candlewood. Most dogs go home with buried, absorbable sutures.
About 8 to 12 weeks of restricted activity, with follow-up radiographs around eight weeks.
Very welcoming, kind, and compassionate. Each staff member treated Willow and I with gentleness and respect. Listened to my concerns, and I was able to get a full diagnosis. Each person I spoke with was very knowledgeable and made sure I understood each step. Highly recommend! We felt at home. Thank you!
Misty at the front desk was very thorough with her intake questions and updating me on my cat. Dr. White was also very helpful in answering all my questions, reading charts/foreign records, and recommending a treatment plan. Everyone was very kind and helpful in person and over the phone. Overall good pricing and understanding of budget constraints and scheduling. I was able to get squeezed in same day before I left town. I will be a return customer with all my animals, very happy to find a vet office I trust in my new town!
Our dog was very lethargic, but fidgety so we knew something was making her feel bad. Candlewood got her in quickly, did an exam and bloodwork, and diagnosed her with pancreatitus right away. We got meds, special food, and good discharge instructions to help Patches get better quickly.
Very friendly staff, thorough, upfront and honest! Gentle and kind with my doggie baby. Highly recommend their services!
Dr. Lewis and the whole staff are so friendly, patient and wonderful to work with! We appreciate the mindset that Dr. Grieves, Dr. Lewis, Katie and the rest of the staff share by wanting to give back to the community to help those in need. All around wonderful practice!!
Both Dr. Grieves and Dr. White have provided care to my beloved cat, and each has always done an outstanding job. My cat has had a few emergencies over the past two years, and I have never doubted that he is receiving the best care available to him. They are willing to explain everything going on, the treatment options available, and the office staff does an amazing job of checking in on him as he recovers. My cat has been a patient of Candlewood Vet for the past nine years, and he will continue to be due to their exceptional service.
