Your first visit, step by step

Book online through our patient portal, or call or text (785) 537-0537. Cat-only Meow Monday spots are booked by phone or text only.

The exam
A full physical, a dental check, screening for common conditions and any recommended vaccines, plus a talk about diet, exercise and lifestyle.
Stay connected
The GreatPetCare app shows upcoming appointments, sends health reminders, and lets you book online and request in-clinic prescription refills.
We moved to the area about a year ago and we're so glad we found candlewood! Everyone is always so kind and they are so great with our high energy (and sometimes unruly) dog, Ozy. They are always able to get him in right away and are very thorough when explaining what is going on with our pup. Prices are very reasonable as well!
A Fear Free visit
We strive to make every visit stress-free, so your pet feels safe and comfortable throughout their appointment. Dr. Grieves and Dr. Lewis are Fear Free Certified professionals, and our team supports you and your pet every step of the way, with the information you need to make confident decisions about their health.

Ask us anything about a first visit. Our assistant answers right away, and passes anything it cannot answer to the team.
Paying for care
Care plans cover routine exams, vaccines and diagnostics in one monthly payment, starting at $38 a month for adult cats, plus a one-time $50 enrollment. We also accept Cherry and CareCredit.
